26 is a new Arts Initiative in The Green area of Aberdeen, Scotland. A small scale studio complex home to six Artists who function as a loose collective working on individual artworks, events, music and a number of off-site exhibitions and events throughout Aberdeen.

Manifesto:

• Think, produce, reach and present.
• Augment fluidity of discourse between artists, designers, musicians, the public
• Widen the peripheral ‘cultural’ vision of the community and city.
• Agitate the local cultural sector toward continual progression.
• Encourage, through productivity, an inward migration of talent.
• Attain a heightened visibility for Aberdeen based creativity at a national and international level.
• Maintain the momentum of forward thinkers
• Encourage forward thinking in others
• Engage positively towards new collaborations across the arts.
• Pursue and research new and unorthodox venues for events.
• Exist outside profiteering from inventiveness and creativity.
• Value skill, value creativity, value the maker. value the viewer.
